Configuration of Outlook 2003/2002/XP The configuration procedure below
is based on Outlook version XP. However, it
is very similar to previous or later versions, so you can use it to create your account.
Open Outlook, click on Tools,
e-mail accounts, select
Add a new e-mail account
and click on next.
Choose the type of server you want to use. Here we will only deal with POP3
and Exchange accounts.
Configuration of a POP3 account:
Type the following information in the blank spaces.
Incoming mail server POP3: "mail.yourdomain.com"
Outgoing mail server SMTP: "mail.yourdomain.com"
Once you've completed everything, click on
Test the account's parameters.
You DO NOT need to select authentication for the outgoing
server (SMTP), click on Advanced, then for Outgoing
Server CHECK My
outgoing server (SMTP) needs authentication.

Choose OK,
click on Next,
then Finish.
If you are using Optonline.net or some
provider that filters port 25 then it might be
a good idea to click on the more settings
button then click on the advanced tab and
change the port number 25 to 4200.
Your account is now ready.
