Configuration of Outlook Express

The configuration procedure below is based on Outlook Express version 6. However, it is very similar to previous or later versions, so you can use it to create your account.

NOTE: If your account is already created and does not work, we advise you to delete it and to recreate it following the procedure below (click on the pictures to zoom in):

1. When you open Outlook Express for the first time, this window will appear.

2. Select the menu Tools and click on Accounts.

3. Click on Add/Mail*

*If you already have a century21aa.com account there, click on that account then click the PROPERTIES button.  Compare the settings to what is shown below and make the necessary changes.

4. In the Internet connection wizard window, type your name as you want it to appear to your recipients.
Then select Next.
5. In the e-mail address field, type yourname@century21aa.com
Select Next.
6. Select POP3 in the first field. Type POP3.CENTURY21AA.COM in the Incoming mail server (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) field. Type in POP3.CENTURY21AA.COM in the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field.
Click on Next.

7. Type in your user name and your password.
Click on Next and Finish.

NOTE: Do NOT select "Log on using secured password authentication."

8. Select the account you've just created and go to the properties for it.
9. On the Server tab, choose My server needs authentication.

NOTE: You MUST CHECK "My Server requires authentication."
10. Go to the tab Connection, and choose Always connect to this account by using, and select your connection.

Click on Apply, OK and Close.

You can now use your e-mail account.
